| Description: | Supervise/Execute materials research and development projects for the advancement of Foster Wheeler's existing and new technologies, provide materials support to various branches of the corporation for new construction, failures, and warranty issues. Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Material Science.Excellent supervisory, project-management, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of materials and analytical laboratory equipment, methods and procedures. Strong technical writing, digital imaging and presentation skills. Well versed in the use of Microsoft Office programs.Extensive background in materials and 5+ years in R&D environments for the power or other related industries. Experience with coal ask corrosion mechanisms and related testing procedures. Experience in developing laboratory and field-testing procedures. Expertise in microanalysis using a scanning electron microscope and energy dispersive x-ray analysis. Some minimal computer programming experience preferred. Position located at our Livingston, NJ location. |
