| Description: | Our Field Service Engineers receive extensive training, largely on the job, to prepare them to conduct inspections and commissioning (start-up activities) of Foster Wheeler supplied power generation, steam generation, fuel handling, and emission control equipment. Examples of equipment include: steam generators (boilers); coal pulverizers; coal feeders; air Preheaters; SCRs; HRSGs; package and marine boilers. |
| Duties: | Service Engineers respond to customer calls when their equipment needs inspection for repair recommendations; trouble shooting some performance issues as well as direct commissioning activities on a new unit, inclusive of training the plant employees in operation and maintenance practices. Field Engineers may live at any location, however they can expect to be traveling 60-70% of the time to various sites around the US (foreign assignments are possible but generally done by more senior engineers) |
| Qualifications: | B.S. degree in Mechanical; Electrical; Chemical; Civil; or Environmental Engineering or a B.S. degree in Physics or Chemistry. Prefer applicants with power generation experience, but will consider recent graduates |
