Combustion Engineer

Perform complex analytical engineering assignments requiring application of engineering fundamentals and principles relating to the design and performance of burners and firing system equipment.  Assignments require initiative, the exercise of independent judgment, and the coordination of multiple tasks.  Independently create proposals and resolve design issues in conjunction with proposal/contract team. Review and provide comment to technical specifications.  Evaluate the performance of existing firing systems.  Develop recommended performance guarantees and evaluate associated sensitivities, risks and remedies for the guarantees.  Support and guide field engineers in the tuning of firing systems.  Accept short term assignments to field, shops or test facilities.

BS or higher degree in engineering with courses in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, or fuel sciences. Broad engineering knowledge in various fields, with grasp of related problems and practices.  Knowledge of steam generation and associated equipment.  7+ years of experience.
