Quality Control (QC) Supervisor

Foster Wheeler, a global leader in steam generator equipment, aftermarket products and services to the power, industrial, and waste-to-energy sectors is searching a Quality Control Supervisor who is highly motivated and experienced to join our newest fabrication facility in McGregor, TX.

This individual would also be required to have excellent communication abilities; both written and verbal communication. This individual must be able to effectively converse with both corporate and shop personnel and local municipal authorities, have the ability to demonstrate familiarity with the ASME Boiler and PV Code, develop manufacturing quality procedures designed to insure that consistently high quality products are produced.  The QC Supervisor must also be familiar with NDE techniques and applications; radiography, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, dye penetrant, and visual inspection, will possess an understanding of and application of statistical theory. This individual will have a minimum of 5 years in Quality system applications.  We would prefer this person to hold AWS, CDE, and NDE certifications.

The Quality Control Supervisor would be responsible for the following at the McGregor Facility:

  • Establish a facility Quality System necessary to insure the production of consistently high quality products in accordance with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code
  • Monitor and measure production compliance with quality standards
  • Insure that the local quality program is maintained and updated to stay in compliance with corporate policy
  • Regularly communicate with local management and corporate staff to demonstrate compliance
  • Oversee McGregor safety and environmental compliance programs
  • Establish an all-encompassing quality program inclusive of supplier review, receipt and in-process inspection, documentation, and periodic ASME Code audit compliance
  • Oversee local safety and environmental activities and reporting
